Organic produce farming is not a new thing. In the real world it is what we all were brought up to eat. It is food grown using a system of artificial fertilisers and regular pesticide use that is new. Farmers have in fact, over the years been offered many incentives not to grow organically farmed food.

After the 2nd world war the UK were determined to be self sufficient with the farming of farmed goods. To help achieve this subsidies were thrown and reasons to increase yields. This fact offered an easy opportunity for chemical companies to sell ever more and more fertilisers and pesticides. Pesticide residues on vegetables have a range of known dangerous properties for humans and they can be a cause of cancer and other diseases.

Organic vegetables and meat which is grown using upto only 4 natural pesticides (non organic farmers provide an arsenal of frequently over 700 chemicals to make their choice from) is merely produce that is grown naturally and by traditional methods and it is wrong to assume that it is a new idea. It is in fact the non organic food that is the new thing.

Organic Food not only tastes better it is nutritionally higher quality to vegetables and meat grown using harmful chemicals and pesticides. It is also proven to be far more beneficial to those eating it's health.
