Naturally farmed food production is not a new thing. In the scheme of things it is the way we all used to eat. It is food created using a system of artificial fertilisers and routine pesticide use that is new. Farmers have in the scheme of things, over the years been offered a host of incentives not to grow organic food.

Following the 2nd world war the UK were determined to be self sufficient using a system of the production of agricultural goods. To help bring off this subsidies were urged to take and monetary reasons to increase yields. This urged to take an easy opportunity for artificial chemical companies to sell more and more fertilisers and pesticides. Pesticide residues on vegetables have a number of established dangerous properties for humans and they can be a cause of cancer and other diseases.

Organic food which is grown using upto only 4 natural pesticides (non organic farmers have an arsenal of over 700 chemicals to make their choice from) is merely food that is grown naturally and traditionally and it is wrong to assume that it is a new thing. It is in the scheme of things the non organic food that is the new thing.
