Organically farmed food production is not a new thing. In fact it is what we all used to eat. It is vegetables and meat grown with artificial fertilisers and repeated routine pesticide use that is new. Growers give in fact, over the years been thrown many incentives not to grow organic food.

After the 2nd world war the UK were determined to be self reliant with the production of agricultural produce. To help growers carry off this subsidies were offered and incentives to increase output. This offered an opportunity for artificial chemical companies to provide more and more fertilisers and pesticides. Pesticide residues on vegetables give a number of known dangerous properties for using it and they can be a cause of cancer and other diseases.

Organically farmed food which is grown using upto only 4 naturally produced pesticides (non organic growers have an arsenal of over 700 chemicals to choose from) is exclusively food that is grown naturally and by traditional methods and it is not right to assume that it is a new thing. It is in fact the non organic food that is the new thing.

Organic Food not just tastes better it is nutritionally superior to food grown using chemicals and pesticides. It is also proven to be far more advantageous to peoples health.
