Chemical free food production is not a new thing. In real terms it is what we all used to eat. It is food grown with artificial fertilisers and routine pesticide use that is new. Farmers have in fact, over the years been thrown many incentives not to cultivate organic food.

Organic food which is grown using upto only 4 natural pesticides (non organically farmed farmers have an arsenal of often over 700 chemicals to choose from) is merely vegetables and meat that is grown naturally and by traditional methods and it is wrong to assume that it is a new thing. It is in fact the non organic food that is the new thing.
