Organic food production is not a new thing. In fact it is what we all used to eat. It is food grown with the help of artificial fertilisers and routine pesticide use that is new. Farmers have in fact, over the years been forced to take many financial offerings not to grow naturally farmed food.

After the 2nd world war the UK were determined to be self sufficient using a system of the production of farmed produce. To help bring about this subsidies were given and incentives to elevate yields. This offered an opportunity for chemical companies to sell increasingly more and more fertilisers and pesticides. Pesticide residues on vegetables have a large number of known dangerous nutritional values for humans and they can be a cause of cancer and other diseases.

Organic food which is grown using upto try to 4 natural pesticides (non organic farmers have an arsenal of regularly over 700 chemicals to choose from) is merely food that is grown naturally and traditionally and it is not right to make the assumption that it is a new thing. It is in fact the non organic vegetables and meat that is the new idea.

Organic Produce not just tastes better it is nutritionally superior to food grown using harmful chemicals and pesticides. It is also proven to be far increasingly more beneficial to peoples health.
